Matthew L. Braley Jr. is a visionary leader whose blend of strength, compassion, and relentless determination has been instrumental in the growth and success of *Heart & Soul LLC*. Serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Matthew has dedicated his life to advancing the mission of his family’s business—caring for individuals with severe mental illness and special needs—while simultaneously ensuring the company’s financial stability and long-term
sustainability.

Matthew’s journey in healthcare began early, at just 16, when he became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) after attending New Horizons Technical School on weekends alongside his father. Their joint commitment to learning and service helped shape Matthew’s early understanding of healthcare and responsibility. Even before that, at age 8, Matthew spent his summers working with his father on roofing jobs, an experience that instilled in him a deep work ethic and a sense of purpose. The father-son duo became a powerful force, laying the foundation for Matthew's lifelong dedication to service and leadership.

After earning an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) in 2000 from Norfolk, VA, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Visualization, 06/2002 from I.T.T. Tech in Tampa, Matthew returned home to commit to the family business in 2003 fully. As C.O.O. of *Heart & Soul LLC*, he oversaw day-to-day operations, focusing particularly on the financial aspects that would drive the business forward. His vision, strategic thinking,
and deep compassion for the residents in their care have helped the company flourish, offering hope and dignity to those often forgotten by society.

In 2015, recognizing the need for clinical oversight at the family’s psychosocial rehabilitation center, Matthew took on the challenge of furthering his education. His desire to ensure the best possible care for the community led him to pursue a Master's in Social Work from Walden University, which he completed in 2020, earning his license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-E). This achievement not only enhanced the care offered by *Heart & Soul LLC* but also solidified Matthew’s role as a key figure in the business’s growth and mission.

Matthew’s leadership goes beyond the numbers; his heart is deeply rooted in helping those most in need. As COO, he ensures the financial health of *Heart & Soul*, but his greatest pride lies in the positive impact the business has on its residents’ lives. Known for his stern but fair leadership style, Matthew holds high expectations for those around him, but his motivation comes from a place of care and compassion. His big ideas and relentless drive are fueled by
the belief that everyone deserves access to quality care and the chance to live with dignity.
